Texas Sculpture Garden, Frisco

Did y'all know there is "the largest private collection of contemporary Texas sculptures" right in Frisco, hidden in a business park?  Four acres of property with beautiful sculptures throughout, that are open to the public for free viewing year-round.  This area was created to showcase the Texas community talent of local artists and to make their work available for all to see and enjoy.  It's pretty awesome! Not only are there sculptures here, but there are walking trails and lots of lakes and fountains that have seating areas all around them.  This was intentional so that the artwork is surrounded by a beautiful backdrop.  And they were very successful because it is very beautiful! Apparently, the founder of Hall Financial and the Texas Sculpture Garden has always had a lot of interest in art and tries to do sculptures in name of their real estate projects.  This Sculpture Garden was founded in 1999, and this collection currently has over 40 pieces. Watters Creek, Allen

Do any of y'all like to shop, eat, listen to live music, gather with friends for a cup of coffee, or let you kids run around and play while you watch from a pretty green lawn area with a small creek.  If you answered yes, (of course you did), to any of this than Watters Creek in Allen is a place you might want to head to. **Friday - Sunday, August 7-9 2020 is Tax-Free Weekend.  On top of this, if you spend $150 or more at any Watters Creek restaurant or retailer you will get a $20 Gift Card to Watters Creek.  (While supplies last). Grandscape - The Colony

There are so many times living here in Texas that I find myself saying, "I feel like I am on vacation",  and today was no exception!  Today my daughter and I had a "mother/daughter date day" and we decided to check out Grandscape.  We have watched it being built but we haven't been there since it's opened.  I'm so glad we chose to go there today.  Both of us felt like we were on vacation at an outdoor entertainment area, similar to places we have been to in Florida and Arizona.  We loved it and are planning to go back again soon!   Have y'all been there yet?!?  If not, you should go check it out.   After being here I now have it on my list as a place I want to take my friends when they visit Texas.  It is a perfect place to enjoy a beautiful night out with food, snacks, shopping, and even entertainment (and I am not just saying this because there is a New York Pizza place here!).  I haven't tried the pizza yet, but being f...
